There is a common misconception that custom woodworking is always expensive. I recently built a paint grade china cabinet by merely fastening doors and shelves directly to the drywall, with no sides or back for under $500. A good master craftsman has learned how to do things in many ways – and as my Italian boss used to say “ Its knowing when to speed up and when to slow down”. I also keep costs down by training and working with apprentices.
